Meet the Pastor
Greetings! I am Jim Kroninger, and I am the pastor at Our Savior Lutheran Church. I am excited to be serving this small but vibrant congregation and being part of the Sevier County community.
While I thoroughly enjoy living in east Tennessee, I am not a native of this area. I was born in suburban Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, which is where I lived all my years through college. Finally, after getting married, I left Pennsylvania, moving to Columbus, Ohio, where I attended trinity Lutheran Seminary. Upon completion, I accepted my first call (no surprise — back to the Philadelphia area) to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in King of Prussia, PA. After serving there for five years, God called me to Knoxville, where I was the pastor at Peace Lutheran Church for nine years. From there, I came to Our Savior, where I started in November 2010
I am the father of two teenagers, Allison and Andrew. When not serving the church or spending time with my children, I enjoy running, reading, and riding roller coasters (the new Three R’s). Being right in the midst of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, I am looking forward to doing more hiking, enjoying the beauty of God’s creation.
I am blessed to be able to serve God as a pastor, and I am grateful to be serving at Our Savior. Whether you are new to Sevier County, or Vacationing in the area, I welcome you to come and experience what God is doing here.
God’s Peace,
Pastor Jim
